Day 15. Group H - Final Round. JAP - POL. SEN - COL.

Pasamela!

Day 15.

Game 45 and 46.

Group H

Japan - Poland
28th June 15:00

Poland, perhaps the most disappointing team so far at the World Cup, have no chance of qualifying for the next round. Japan however, have been impressive, and took advantage of Colombia being down to 10 men in their match up, meaning they go into their last game knowing a win will take them through.
Inui on form

Last Time:

Japan 2-2 Senegal
Poland 0-3 Colombia

Japan were behind twice against Senegal in their last outing. Some questionable defending from them put the pressure on their forwards to salvage something from the game, and Inui and Honda did just that, earning them a deserved point. Inui looked extremely lively last time, his goal coming from a lovely curling finish into the bottom corner, and hitting the bar in the second half.  They will need the experience from Honda to come off the bench again if they are to progress into the next round.
Experience of Honda vital
Poland were hugely disappointing yet again last time out against Colombia. Poland lost all the important statistical battles, and the personal ones on the pitch, with no goals yet from their main man Lewandowski.

Pre Match Predictions:
Poland will want to put on a show for their many fans in Russia. As they are already out, one could question what the mindset of the team may be, and whether they will have the backbone to stave off wave after wave of Japanese attack. Japan have surprised many with their attacking ability so far, and one would expect them to score.

Best Bet: OVER 3.5 Goals - 29/10 (BetVictor)

Senegal - Colombia
27th June 15:00

Senegal and Colombia go head to head in the final game of group H in a direct shootout for qualification to the last 16. A draw will be enough for both sides if Poland can beat Japan in the other game. However, these sides will not want to put all their eggs in one basket and play for the draw today, with a Japan loss looking unlikely.
Mane vital for Senegal

Last Time:

Senegal 2-2 Japan
Colombia 3-0 Poland

Senegal were unlucky not to win last time out versus Japan. It was a game of two halves for the Senegalese as they dominated the first half, and were pegged back by Japan in the second. Their main man Sadio Mane was influential yet again for the African side and will need to be on the top of his game if Senegal are going to get anything against a good Colombian side.
Quintero - Colombia's surprise man
Colombia were back to their best last time out against Poland. The disappointing Polish side were put to the sword once again, this time more emphatically by Colombia. On paper it was a fairly even game between the group favourites but the Colombians have shown their flair in attack with Falcao and Cuadrado getting in on the goals. Juan Quintero was once again perhaps Colombia's biggest threat going forward, and will be hoping to get off the mark against Senegal.

Pre Match Predictions:
Goals are once again to be expected in this game. Senegal have looked shaky at the back, conceding twice to a lesser Japan side, while Colombia look exciting going forward. With Colombia desperately needing a win one would expect them to score goals today, and if their front four of Rodriguez, Cuadrado, Quintero, and Falcao are on form, it could be a high scoring game.

Best Bets:Colombia WIN and BTTS - 16/5 (ladbrokes)
Juan Quinetro to Score - 10/3 (PaddyPower)

Day 5. Sweden - Korea. Belgium - Panama. Tunisia - England.

Pasamela! Day 4. Game 12, 13, and 14. Sweden- Korea 18th June 13:00 Marcus Berg to Score Sweden and South Korea will be buoyed by the Mexican performance from last night and the surprise result in the opening game of group F. With Germany looking past their best, Sweden and Korea will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing and upsetting the Germans. Sweden finished 2nd in their qualifying group behind obvious winners France, and faced European giants Italy in the playoff. A shock 1-0 win ensued and the Swedes will go to the World Cup with lots of belief. South Korea on the other hand struggled in qualification, finishing just two points ahead of both Syria and Uzbekistan. The Korean team looks weaker than in recent tournaments, and they will do well to relive their 2002 glory. Chang to announce himself? Ones To Watch: Sweden will be looking to score goals in this group to put an end to the Zlatan era. With many questioning their ...

Day 2. Egypt - Uruguay. Morocco - Iran. Spain - Portugal.

Pasamela! Day 2. Game 2, 3, and 4. Egypt - Uruguay 15th June 13:00 Elneny to prove himself The Pharaohs take on the sky blues in the second game of Group A, after Russia's 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia. The world's eyes will be heavily focused on Mo Salah, or more accurately, Mo Salah's shoulder, as he battles back to full fitness. Once again, both sides will be itching to get started and get their first three points on the board. Uruguay will be favourites to win (8/13 skybet) and should take advantage of Egypt's defensive frailties to go top of the group after the first round of matches. Ones To Watch: Not much more needs to be said about the Premier League Player of the Season, Mo Salah . He will feel the weight the nation on his shoulders but would surprise nobody if he did delight the Russian crowds with his performances in Group A. However, it may be another Premier League man, Mohamed Elneny who will be key for the Egyptians. With the obvious g...

Day 1. Russia - Saudi Arabia

Pasamela! Day 1. Game 1. Russia - Saudi Arabia 14th June 16:00 So, here it is.. The count down is over. The biggest sporting event on the planet will soon get under way! The opening fixture of the World Cup finals 2018. The hosts Russia will be desperate to prove a point on home soil, while the lowest ranked side in the tournament, Saudi Arabia, will be just as eager to ensure they don't lose, in what could be their only chance of picking up points in these finals. Man Utd trainee Al-Sahlawi Ones To Watch : Despite being World Cup minnows, Saudi Arabia may have one shining star. Forward Al-Sahlawi has not only fired himself to a better goals per minutes ratio in qualification than the likes of Neymar and Ronaldo but he also trained and trialed with British giants Manchester United earlier this year. The Al-Nassr striker has 28 in 40 for Saudi Arabia, and will be hoping this tournament will prove his goal scoring abilities outside...
